Melting synthesized future beats into sultry R&B vocals and rippling rap samples, Spanish producer AWWZ reimagines electronic pop and hip hop in BB Cry. Part of a new wave of Barcelona-based female producers, AWWZ is changing the Spanish electronic scene from the inside out. AWWZ started out producing music as half of DJ duo Thug Ladies before carving out her own sound as a prolific touring DJ and solo artist. A proponent of the fleetingly awake audio sensation of “Shower Music,” she debuted with EP "Gals" on label Freshmore and has appeared solo at Sónar festival, Madrid’s Lev festival, sharing the bill with Lanark Artefax, Catarina Barbieri and other talents, as well as in performances throughout Spain and Latin America. AWWZ recently released her NAUGHTY EP with artist Lauren Nine on La Dradora and collaborated with Putochinomaricon on the track Visa on Nacional Records.
