São Paulo producer Deekapz’s track Cria bounces its bass hard into the mix with gleaming tropical melodies and throwback Baile Funk rhythms. Production duo Deekapz (FKA DKVPZ) met during a B2B set in 2014 and soon began conjuring unique progressive vibes, clean melodies and audacious samples. By 2017, international audiences picked up on Deepkapz’s sound thanks to their Soulection White Label release, SWL019. Europe and Asia tours followed, along with a fresh take on R&B. The duo’s new five-track EP, Ensaio Sobre Você, wafts through bright melodies, jazz-inflected house and hip-hop basslines to secure its place as a Brazilian house staple.
