Gabonese-French producer Banga meshes Baile Funk, kuduro and trap rhythms into Peter Pan, with fearless vocals from Abidjan-based rapper Andy S, a central female figure in the new sound of rap Ivoire that spans from the Ivory Coast to Paris and Montréal. Based in Paris, Banga is a globetrotter at heart who started out as a DJ and, inspired both by the rhythms of Brazil and her youth from Gabon to Nigeria and beyond, dove into Afro-electronic production five years ago. She’s performed live everywhere from French festivals to Moonshine events in Paris and Montreal. Since her 2017 selection as Apple Music Artist of the Month, Andy S has worked hard on new tracks and live performances at Abidjan’s famed La Sunday and other acclaimed club sets. Her debut EP, Le Rap N'a Pas De Sex, led her to become the first Ivory Coast rapper to premiere on The Fader, exuding confidence in an unequivocal delivery and lyrics that reflect the realities of her life.
