Minimal hand drums make way for pulsating rhythms and spiral melodies on London-based Ahadadream’s Woah, rooted as much in UK-funky club energy as the music of the producer’s South Asian heritage. After working with Boiler Room, holding down a residency on Radar and going out on his own as a producer, Ahadadream co-founded his More Time Records label in 2017 with the ethos of blending “community, collaboration, respect and heritage.” The label’s unique, confident sound spans the Global South, featuring artists such as label co-founder SNØW/Sam Interface, Manchester producer Zed Bias, Mina & Bryte, Congolese-British rappers Bala Bala Boyz, Leila Samir and Blasé Vanguard. Dedicated to heavy bass and musical clarity, Ahadadream worked with his team to launch 36 releases over the past three years, all with that highly identifiable More Time style.
